Holiday Whoobie Whatie!? How did YOUR holidays go!? We had quite a full holiday in the gutter, and I think I may be one of the ONLY moms who didn't get their tree up. :::sigh::: One of our original GutterGirlz has decided that she too, should become alumni, and asked to have her spot on the team filled with one of the submissions that we had in the Design Team search. This was the toughest job EVER.

It STUNK. I swear, it was like skunk, it was that bad. When we put out the call for designers, I was not prepared for the wonderful entries that we got. I wasn't prepared to know and love so many of you, and have to make choices between great and great. Figuring out WHERE to start drawing lines was nearly impossible. Figuring out WHY to draw lines was hard. DOUBLING the number of girls we planned to accept didn't make the choices much easier... there were still so many that we weren't able to put on the list. In the end, we tried our best to choose from gals who have been here with us, playing in the gutter. We chose from the most timely of entries. We tried to choose from entries whose World Wide Web places of play would enable us as a team to reach a wider audience. Lastly, we tried to choose a variety of styles. ALL of the submissions were AWESOME. All of them were from the heart. I think that's what makes a choice like this the hardest. The gals who aren't in our list of new chosen team members are just as worthy of being on the list. Their art is REAL. I hope that they will continue to come and play in the gutter. I hope that those who have only just found us will continue to play with us. I hope that no feelings are hurt. I hope that everyone will feel LOVED... before we know it, the need for another Design Team call will be upon us, and I truly hope to see those faces in our submission emails again. Thank you to each and everyone of you who submitted your work, and come to visit us. We love you.
As I mentioned, we actually added three spots to our original three that we asked you to help us fill. This leaves us with SIX new team members!! I'll be adding their profiles to our Design Team LIST over the next few days, and I hope that you'll take a moment to check them out!!

Sarah, Bree, Nikki, Becky, Lara and Glenda... welcome to the GUTTER, girlz!! May you cuss like a sailor, and be real for realz. We love you!!

Well, I thought something was up.

Looks like I can't remember when our prompts are due!! lol poor EatSleepScrap, our guest designer, was given the WRONG DATES for our prompts!! BY ME. I decided, since I was to blame for the whole debacle, that she deserved her very own post. SO... Here's what Melissa came up with for our prompt
Favorite Four Letter WORD.

lol I totally love it. Thanks, Melissa!! For a GREAT contribution to our prompt!! Be sure to visit her on her BLOG and say hey!!
and...
SORRY, Melissa!! For giving you the WRONG dates for your time with us!!
