April 15th, Prompt #36

THE PROMPT: It's No Secret
THE SONG: Everybody Knows by Concrete Blonde
THE PRODUCT/TECHNIQUE: None this month
Patti
I really played with this one. No plans just got out my paints and glitter mist and this and that and I would not allow myself to change anything. When it went on the page it was there for good. It was fun to play! I used the title and a few words out of the song for my inspiration.

Glenda
I had all of these great pics of my parents and wanted to document how much I loved them.

Well everyone knows that ART ROCKS so why not scrap about it :)this was a lot of fun to do and as soon as I saw the picture I knew this was what I wanted to do for this months prompt!

Kristy
the lyric I picked "everybody knows its now or never" and the prompt "its no secret" combined in my head to make an upbeat type thing. I just wanted something artsy without alot of thought with happy colors. The bikes and the swirls/doodles to me convey the "get your ass up and go" that they lyrics spoke to me.

Lara
Lyrics from the song "The Fly" by U2. The background is 3 papers cut up and pieced back together, glimmer misted and gesso dripped/stamped. The photo is heavily photoshopped with texture.

Susan
I so love this song. Brings back so many memories. The journaling is about me being an alcoholic but also about when you are in a bad relationship or pretty much anything else where it's a bad situation & everyone else knows but you can't see it because you're to close to the situation.

As always, we choose our prize winners AND our guest gutter girlz from those of you who play along with us!! All you need to do is create YOUR art from OUR prompt, then leave us a comment with a direct LINK to your creation in your comment. We'll go through and pick a random prize winner, and our choice of a guest designer. How easy is THAT? This month's prize comes from our very own GutterGirl, Glenda!

Hi Girlz, ya all gots some awesome textures going on, both light and heavy. Will go look at the words of the song and get started...last prompt is still in the works, didn't realize that I'd have a hard time getting the journaling out and on paper. The packaging alone on Glenda's selection of goodies, oooooh!
Hi I love the textures ,too. I went with the song from concrete blond

Ohhhh I so loved this challenge and I created a layout which was inspired by it, but probably doesn't fully qualify as it doesn't mention either the prompt of the song anywhere on the layout. But just see for yourself. HERE it is (second layout within post)
